Authorization bypass via stale post-authentication constraints
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Incorrect authorization in affected Apache Tomcat releases allows remote authenticated users to bypass method-specific resource constraints. FormAuthenticator retains constraints selected for a POST when the post-login redirect changes the request to GET instead of recalculating them. Exploitation requires FORM authentication and a resource that permits POST but denies GET, and it grants only the otherwise forbidden GET access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
