Privileged command execution via alert action operators

Command injection in on-alert actions in Nicolargo Glances before 4.5.6 allows local users to run chained shell commands via glances.conf. GlancesActions.run() in glances/actions.py calls secure_popen(cmd_full) without passing the --disable-config-exec state, so >, &&, and | in configuration-defined action strings are still interpreted when an alert fires. Exploitation requires the ability to modify the Glances configuration and wait for a configured alert to trigger; the result is arbitrary file write or additional command execution with the privileges of the glances process.
