CVE-2026-68447

Kernel-data disclosure via unbounded CRIU checkpoint copy

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Linux before 7.1.6 allows local users to disclose kernel data through an AMD KFD CRIU checkpoint. The v9 MQD checkpoint path trusts cp_hqd_cntl_stack_size from hardware and passes it to memcpy without limiting the copy to the control-stack buffer-object allocation. Access requires a local user able to invoke KFD CRIU checkpointing on affected AMD GPU hardware; the over-read can expose adjacent GTT kernel memory to userspace.
