CVE-2026-68401

Kernel memory corruption via undersized FF-A descriptors

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds writes in the Linux kernel ARM FF-A driver allow local users to corrupt kernel memory through FF-A memory transactions. The ffa_setup_and_transmit() function writes ep_mem_access->reserved at offset 24 when FF-A versions below 1.2 allocate only 16 bytes, and it appends constituents without first confirming sufficient buffer space. The path requires local access to an ARM system using the FF-A driver; resulting corruption can alter kernel data or crash the system.
