CVE-2026-68352

Kernel memory disclosure via unchecked firmware lengths

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in the ath6kl Wi-Fi driver in Linux allows physically proximate attackers to disclose kernel memory. In ath6kl_wmi_connect_event_rx(), firmware-controlled beacon and association IE lengths are summed without checking that the total fits the WMI event buffer. A rogue access point or frame injector within radio range can drive the read past the buffer, corrupt Wi-Fi state, and panic the kernel without credentials or user interaction.
