CVE-2026-68347

Local denial of service via IRQ-unsafe locking

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Deadlock in the AMD IOMMU driver in Linux 7.0 through 7.1.5 allows local users to crash the system via graphics-domain operations. gdom_info_load_or_alloc_locked() takes the XArray lock without IRQ-safe handling while domain->lock can be held from hard-IRQ context; IOMMU_DESTROY uses the same unsafe free-side locking. Low-privileged local access and an AMD IOMMU with nested-domain or destroy activity are required, and the resulting lock inversion can hang kernel work or crash the host.
