System crash via inconsistent USB descriptor classification

Type confusion in the ueagle-atm USB ATM driver in Linux allows physically proximate attackers to crash the system with a crafted USB device. The uea_probe() and uea_disconnect() handlers classify firmware state by different descriptor properties, so disconnect casts a stored completion object as usbatm_data and reads past its allocation. Exploitation requires connecting a device with inconsistent USB identifiers and interface counts; the documented consequence is a kernel crash.
