Authenticated form-submission disclosure via unchecked shortcode authorization
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Missing authorization in Advanced Contact form 7 DB 2.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read all stored form submissions. The acf7db shortcode's front-end rendering path returns Contact Form 7 entries without verifying that the requesting account has permission to view them. Contributor-level access is sufficient to invoke this path and disclose every stored submission, including entries from forms the account is not authorized to view.
