Local system crash via unchecked HE capability pointer
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
NULL-pointer dereference in the Linux kernel mt76 connac Wi-Fi driver allows local users to crash systems with affected MediaTek Wi-Fi. mt76_connac_mcu_uni_bss_he_tlv dereferences a capability pointer returned by mt76_connac_get_he_phy_cap without checking whether it is NULL. The path is limited to systems using affected MediaTek mt76 connac hardware, and triggering it interrupts availability by crashing the system.

Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
