CVE-2026-68304

Wi-Fi authentication interruption via unset firmware supplicant mode

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Denial of service in the Linux kernel brcmfmac driver from 4.13 allows attackers to interrupt Wi-Fi authentication via 802.1X-SHA256. The WLAN_AKM_SUITE_8021X_SHA256 branch fails to set profile->use_fwsup to BRCMF_PROFILE_FWSUP_1X before brcmf_cfg80211_set_pmk installs the PMK. The path requires a Broadcom FullMAC adapter using firmware-offloaded 802.1X-SHA256; reaching it emits a kernel warning and interrupts enterprise Wi-Fi authentication.
