CVE-2026-6830

Credential disclosure via additive profile environment reload

Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026

Information disclosure in profile switching in Nathan Esquenazi Hermes WebUI before 0.50.12 allows local users to read cross-profile secrets. The api.profiles._reload_dotenv function adds the next profile's dotenv values to os.environ without removing keys loaded from the prior profile. A local user able to select profiles can recover retained provider API keys, while no write or availability impact is reported.
