Kernel memory leak via incomplete BPF JIT cleanup
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Memory leak in the LoongArch BPF JIT in Linux 7.0 through 7.1.5 allows local users to leak kernel memory via failed subprogram compilation. When a later subprogram fails JIT compilation, bpf_jit_free() releases the first subprogram without freeing jit_data->ctx.offset. Reachability requires a LoongArch kernel with eBPF JIT compilation and a program whose later subprogram fails compilation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
