Local information disclosure via unguarded submit-slot index
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Spectre mitigation bypass in Linux allows local users to infer sensitive data through an i915 parallel-submission slot. In i915_gem_context.c, a userspace-controlled slot selects a parallel context without a nospec guard, permitting speculative access beyond the validated index. Reachability requires Intel graphics and i915 parallel submission; systems without Intel graphics are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
