Unspecified impact via suppressed devmem fault errors
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Improper error handling in Linux kernel 6.18 through 6.18.41 allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via non-migratable GPU faults. The xe_svm.c fault path jumps to its out label for non-migratable faults requiring device memory, overwriting the intended error instead of returning -EACCES to upper layers. Reaching the path requires an Intel Xe GPU shared-memory fault that cannot be migrated; the published record establishes no security consequence beyond the suppressed error.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
