CVE-2026-68224

System crash via unchecked error-pointer dereference

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Invalid pointer dereference in Linux kernel 6.19 allows local users to crash systems through the Mali-C55 ISP media driver. The enable_streams path stores media_pad_remote_pad_unique() in isp->remote_src and dereferences an ERR_PTR result without checking IS_ERR(). A local user must reach streaming with no connected pad or multiple enabled links; the consequence is a kernel crash on Mali-C55 ISP systems.
