Local service interruption via leaked workqueue
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Resource leak in the Linux kernel dm1105 PCI driver allows local users to exhaust memory through repeated device removal. The dm1105_remove() callback releases other device resources but fails to destroy the workqueue allocated when the driver probes the device. Exploitation requires local access and dm1105 DVB PCI adapter hardware; repeated removal can deplete memory and interrupt service.
