CVE-2026-68192

Kernel memory corruption via repeated DMA free

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Double free in the brcmfmac PCIe driver in Linux allows attackers to cause unspecified impact during device teardown. The brcmf_pcie_release_scratchbuffers() function passes shared.scratch and shared.ringupd to dma_free_coherent() but leaves both pointers non-NULL, so brcmf_pcie_remove() frees the same DMA allocations again after reset teardown. Reachability requires the brcmfmac PCIe path and reset teardown before device removal; the upstream record does not specify an attacker-controlled trigger or the resulting system effect.
