Authenticated plugin control via ungated lifecycle commands
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Improper authorization in OpenHarness before 0.1.7 allows remote authenticated users to control plugins through channel commands. The ohmo gateway forwards allowed senders' slash commands to plugin lifecycle handlers because /plugin and /reload-plugins lack local-only or remote-admin gates. Remote authenticated users must first pass channel admission; they can then install, enable, disable, or reload plugins and alter the host's trust state.
