CVE-2026-68129Network attack vector

Network service interruption via stalled receive queue

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Denial of service in the Linux gve driver allows remote attackers to permanently stall a receive queue under extreme memory pressure. If buffer allocation failures leave too few descriptors posted, the refill loop exits and no completions reschedule NAPI. Exposure requires the Google Virtual Ethernet device and sustained memory pressure; the affected queue drops incoming packets and remains stalled after memory is freed.
