Cross-team credential use via ambiguous secret lookup
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in Apache Airflow before 3.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to use another team's Connection credentials. The environment backend concatenates team and secret identifiers with an ambiguous triple-underscore separator, while a missed team lookup falls through to an unrestricted global environment read. Exploitation requires multi-team mode, enabled connection testing, a team-scoped environment Connection, and knowledge of its encoded identifier; the endpoint uses the credentials without returning them.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
