CVE-2026-6797Network attack vector

Authenticated server crash via disabled ZIP-bomb check

Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in PublicCMS 6.202506.a through 6.202506.d allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. DocToHtmlUtils calls ZipSecureFile.setMinInflateRatio(0) before processing uploaded Office documents, disabling Apache POI's compressed-data expansion threshold. A low-privilege administrative account can reach the file-import path with a crafted DOCX, XLSX, PPT, or PPTX file, exhausting CPU and memory until the application becomes unstable or crashes.
