CVE-2026-6790Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host-based control bypass via authority mismatch

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Host confusion in affected Eclipse Jetty releases allows remote attackers to influence routing and redirects using conflicting host values. The HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 metadata builders retain Host as a raw header while request authority populates URI state, and ComplianceUtils.verify does not enforce MISMATCHED_AUTHORITY. Exploitation requires a deployment that makes security-sensitive decisions from the request host; consequences are limited to host-based control bypass, tenant misrouting, attacker-influenced redirects, or misleading audit records.
