CVE-2026-67611Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated MFA bypass via OAuth2 password grant

Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026

Authentication bypass in OpenEMR 8.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain API tokens without multi-factor authentication. The unauthenticated OAuth2 registration endpoint creates a client that can submit valid credentials to the password-grant token flow, which does not invoke MFA. Password grant must be enabled, and a valid OpenEMR account is required; successful exploitation grants API access under that account.
