Root command execution via unrestricted sudo nice
Published Aug 3, 2026 · Updated Aug 3, 2026
Privilege escalation in Telenia Software TVox 24.0.0 through 24.9.21 and 26.0.0 through 26.5.3 allows local users to execute commands as root. The /etc/sudoers.d/telenia file grants the apache account passwordless sudo execution of /bin/nice, which preserves root privileges for a supplied command. Access to the apache account is required, after which arbitrary commands run as root without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
