Activity disclosure via missing profile visibility enforcement
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
API access-control failure in Gitea 1.27.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read hidden profile activity via requests. Activity-feed and contribution-heatmap handlers omit the profile-visibility check that excludes restricted accounts from Limited-visibility profiles. Exploitation requires a restricted account and qualifying public-repository activity; exposed data includes repository names, commit messages, issue or pull request events, and contribution timestamps, without modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
