Pre-authentication denial of service via unbounded symbol cache
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Apache Software Foundation Apache Qpid Proton DotNet 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt AMQP services. The protocol engine retains attacker-supplied Symbol values in an unbounded cache, so distinct pre-authentication values consume memory continuously. Network reachability to an application accepting AMQP input through the library is required; exhaustion interrupts that application without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
