Administrator credential theft via unescaped OAuth warning
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Stored HTML injection in RabbitMQ Management allows remote authenticated users to steal administrator credentials through a crafted queue name. The OAuth error path emits an unescaped AMQP authorization reason through login_oauth.ejs and jQuery .html(), letting an injected base element retarget the relative refresh and its Authorization header. Exploitation requires the OAuth UI, queue configure permission, a visible but unreadable queue, an administrator clicking Get Message(s), and a permissive CORS endpoint; the stolen credential grants that account's management authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
