Cross-vhost message read and drain via unchecked URI
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Missing authorization in RabbitMQ Server allows remote authenticated users to read and drain messages across vhosts through Federation. The federation-upstream validator parses an empty-host direct URI but never checks the creating policymaker's access to the URI's embedded target vhost. A policymaker on one vhost can consume another vhost's known or guessed queue; default on-confirm acknowledgments delete the source messages.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
