Authenticated node crash via pre-authorization stream allocation
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in RabbitMQ Server allows remote authenticated users to crash a memory-limited broker node. In rabbit_stream_super_stream_mgmt.erl, binding_keys and streams_from_binding_keys materialize the full attacker-controlled stream-name list before the resource permission check. Affected versions are 4.1.0 through 4.1.10, 4.2.0 through 4.2.8, and 4.3.0 through 4.3.2; exploitation requires the stream-management plugins, management-tag credentials, vhost access, and a hard memory limit for a reliable crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
