CVE-2026-6737

Local touchpad disclosure and disruption via exposed IOCTLs

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Exposed IOCTLs in ASUSTeK Computer Inc. AsusPTPFilter 16.0.0.45 and earlier allow local users to read touchpad data or disable it. The driver accepts crafted IOCTL requests from low-privileged callers without sufficient access control, exposing restricted touchpad information and operations. ASUS has not published the affected IOCTL codes or handler logic; exploitation requires local low-privileged access and high request complexity.
