Credential disclosure and admin bypass via missing authentication
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Missing authentication in OpenCost before 1.121.0 allows remote attackers to read Helm values and modify cloud billing configuration. The /helmValues route invokes GetHelmValues without adminAuthMiddleware, while that middleware invokes the next handler when ADMIN_TOKEN is unset. Network access is sufficient to obtain decoded HELM_VALUES data; default deployments also expose GCP service-key and cloud-configuration changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
