Authenticated SSRF via unchecked HTTP redirect targets
Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Budibase before 3.38.1 allows remote authenticated users to read internal resources through redirects. The REST datasource path checks only the initial URL against the IP blacklist, then its undici fetch follows an unvalidated redirect and returns the redirected response. Builder-role access and control of an external redirect server are required; exposed data includes cloud metadata credentials and internal service responses.
