Authenticated session hijacking via sender-agnostic keys
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Improper authentication in OpenHarness before 0.1.7 allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions in shared chats or threads. session_key_for_message omits sender_id and routes snapshot restoration and task interruption through a key shared by every participant in the chat or thread. Any allowed participant in that shared context can read prior conversation state and replace or interrupt another participant's active task.
