Out-of-bounds write in Dell PowerStore SDNAS SMB/CIFS allows remote attackers to crash the appliance or execute arbitrary code. The SMB/CIFS service writes beyond a memory buffer while processing a specially crafted SMB packet; Dell has not disclosed the affected parser or packet field. No authentication is required, and the crash persists when automatic restarts are enabled.
