Credential disclosure via improper proxy certificate validation
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Dell Container Storage Modules before 1.18.0 allows attackers to expose storage administrator credentials. The Authorization proxy-server inadequately validates a TLS certificate, but Dell has not disclosed which peer certificate or validation step is mishandled. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker positioned on an adjacent network; the reported consequence is exposure of backend administrator credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
