CVE-2026-67268Hinoki check available

Privilege escalation and SSRF via XXE

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

XML external entity processing in Dell Command Update before 5.7.1 allows local authenticated users to trigger SSRF and gain privileges. Dell has not published which XML parser or request path resolves attacker-supplied external entities, so the public record does not identify the affected function beyond DCU's XML handling. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access to the updater host, and the published impact is limited to confidentiality exposure through outbound requests plus elevation of privilege.
