Stored XSS via unescaped certificate DN fields
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Stored XSS in affected RabbitMQ Server releases allows remote attackers to execute script in an operator's browser via a crafted certificate DN. The streamConnection.ejs template inserts peer certificate subject and issuer values into HTML with raw EJS interpolation and no output encoding. Exploitation requires both stream plugins, peer-verifying TLS, a trusted certificate with an attacker-chosen DN, and an operator opening the connection detail page; script then runs with that operator's management-UI access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
