Credential disclosure via plaintext authentication cookie
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Cleartext credential storage in RabbitMQ Server 4.2.0 through 4.2.7 and 4.3.0 through 4.3.1 allows attackers to recover login credentials. The management login handler base64-encodes the submitted username and password into an authentication cookie without HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite, or expiration attributes. Recovery requires a successful user login plus same-origin script execution, an HTTP-readable network position, or local access to the browser cookie store.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
