CVE-2026-67233Network attack vector

Shovel disruption via missing role check

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Authorization bypass in RabbitMQ Server allows remote authenticated users with the monitoring tag to delete or restart dynamic shovels. The Shovel Management resource authorizes every method through is_authorized_monitor/2, while its DELETE handler removes or restarts the runtime parameter without the policymaker check enforced by the parameters API. Exploitation requires both Shovel plugins, management API access, monitoring-tag credentials, and visibility into the target virtual host; successful requests interrupt or remove affected message-transfer workers.
