CVE-2026-6722Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unretained SOAP object

Published May 10, 2026 · Updated May 10, 2026

Use-after-free in PHP SOAP 8.2 before 8.2.31, 8.3 before 8.3.31, 8.4 before 8.4.21, and 8.5 before 8.5.6 allows remote attackers to execute code. soap_add_xml_ref stores an object in SOAP_GLOBAL(ref_map) without retaining it, so a duplicate Apache map key can free it before an href lookup copies the dangling pointer. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled SOAP input to reach an ext-soap server and reclaim the freed allocation with controlled string data.
