Cluster-wide denial of service via unbounded weight
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Resource exhaustion in affected RabbitMQ Server releases allows remote authenticated users to crash broker nodes via a crafted binding. The add_binding/3 function accepts an unbounded integer routing-key weight and passes it to lists:seq/2, allocating and persisting that many ring positions in Khepri. Exploitation requires the consistent-hash exchange plugin, write access to its exchange, and read access to a queue; replication can exhaust memory on every cluster node and the state survives restarts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
