Privilege escalation via omitted super-stream authorization check
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Missing authorization in affected RabbitMQ Server 4.x releases allows remote authenticated users to create persistent super-stream resources. The HTTP accept_content/2 handler calls rabbit_stream_manager:create_super_stream after checking only the management tag and virtual-host access, omitting the configure-permission check used by the native stream path. The rabbitmq_stream_management plugin, a management tag, and virtual-host access are required; no resource permission is needed, so the request creates an exchange, partition stream queues, and bindings cluster-wide.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
