Incorrect behavior order in cJSON through 1.7.19 allows remote attackers to delete document members via crafted JSON Patch input. apply_patch() detaches and deletes a replace or move target before validating the replacement value or resolving the destination path. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled patches to cJSON_Utils and to trust a nonzero return as proof that the target remained unchanged.
