Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP file creation
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Remote code execution in FileManagerController in Wolf CMS through 0.8.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to run PHP code. The create_file() and save() functions accept attacker-chosen filenames and content without blocking executable extensions, placing PHP files in web-accessible FILES_DIR. The file_manager_mkfile capability is required; requesting the created file over HTTP executes code with the web server process privileges.
