OS command injection in worker tasks in Google Turbinia before 2026-07-10 allows attackers to execute commands on worker hosts. The grep, strings, and PhotoRec tasks interpolate evidence paths into shell command strings and execute them with shell=True. Submitting a processing request or influencing an evidence path or name is sufficient to compromise workers and reachable evidence or credentials.
