Authenticated code execution via unchecked remote file download
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in ThemePunch Slider Revolution 7.0.0 through 7.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The library.load.image AJAX action lets any logged-in user pass a remote URL to _check_file_path, which downloads the response into the public uploads directory without validating its extension. Subscriber-level access and a leaked nonce suffice to place and invoke a PHP webshell with the web server's privileges.
