Arbitrary file overwrite via unnormalized blob names
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Path traversal in Apache Camel Azure Storage Blob allows attackers to overwrite local files outside fileDir via crafted blob names. BlobOperations.downloadBlobToFile joined fileDir with each untrusted Azure blob name and downloaded to the result without normalization or a containment check. Exploitation requires control of a name in a consumed container and use of downloadBlobToFile; writes receive the Camel process's filesystem privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.14.9
