Administrative session hijacking via attacker-set PHPSESSID
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Session fixation in ArticaTech Artica Proxy before 4.50.000000 Service Pack 7 allows remote attackers to hijack administrative sessions. The fw.login.php authentication flow accepts an attacker-selected PHPSESSID and does not replace it when the victim successfully authenticates on port 9000. Exploitation requires an attacker to set the chosen cookie in a victim's browser and wait for that victim to log in, after which the same identifier provides administrative access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
