Stored script execution via unescaped donor fields
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Nexcess GiveWP 4.16.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through donor fields. The legacy donation-details template renders attacker-controlled company, email, and phone values into WordPress admin HTML without context-safe escaping. An unauthenticated donation supplies the stored data, but execution requires an administrator or GiveWP staff member to open the affected record.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
