Forced license changes via missing nonce verification
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Jeff Farthing's TML WordPress plugin 7.1.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter extension license state. The extension license activation and deactivation handlers accept state-changing requests without verifying a WordPress nonce. A privileged WordPress user must visit attacker-controlled content while authenticated, allowing forced license activation or deactivation.
